While Speaking at Taach FM Morning Show, Mesetab Taach, CPA Davis Cheruiyot ( General Manager Finance and ICT REREC). He explained that REREC role is to do rural connection and commission them together with Kenya Power. Highlighting that Kenya power is like rerec bigger brother.
CPA Cheruiyot stated that further connection in rural areas has been hampered by funds shortage but said that with availability of funds all villages will be connected.
“The rejected finance had a provision that each constituency was to receive 50 million for rural electrification but after it was thrown out, rural electrification became an issue with funds shortage” He said
He further added that REREC had connected over 70% of Kenya rural arears with electricity.
The fallen Finance bill as it had given to 50mill in each connection will provided aces
He encourage each person to be ambassador of Kenya Power and be on Look out on those tampering with transformers and report them
