Legendary manager Carlo Ancelotti has decided to leave Real Madrid at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

The Italian coach has made up his mind that he will quit Los Blancos at the end of the current campaign, despite his existing contract running until 2026. Ancelotti renewed his deal in December 2023

Last month, the 65-year-old coach cemented his place as Real Madrid’s greatest manager of all time as he won his 15th trophy with Los Blancos after the club’s triumph in the Intercontinental Cup in Qatar. The Onda Cero report further reveals that the veteran coach is very happy at the club, but he has made a firm decision to move on after the current season. The manager, though, is unlikely to retire and will manage a national team.

Former Real midfielder Xabi Alonso, who helped Bayer Leverkusen win a historic Bundesliga title last season, has been strongly linked with a move to the Spanish capital and if Ancelotti does quit the job, the spaniard is favorable candidate to replace him at the helm.
