Arne Slot and his coaching team did not hold a standard post-match press conference following Liverpool’s 2-2 draw at Everton after he was sent off.

The Reds were only seconds away from securing victory in the last-ever Merseyside derby at Goodison Park, only for james tarkowski to rescue a point for the Toffees.

At full-time,Abdoulaye Doucoure received a second yellow card for goading the liverpool supporters , and Curtis Jones was also dismissed for lashing out at the midfielder. Slot was shown a red for supposedly shaking referee Michael Oliver’s hand in a sarcastic and aggressive manner, with his assistant Sipke Hulshoff also sent off.

With Slot and Hulshoff both shown red cards, first-team coach Johnny Heitinga – a former Everton player – could be placed in charge for Liverpool’s visit of Wolves on Sunday.
