AC Milan have reached an agreement with Manchester City to sign their captain Kyle Walker on loan. The loan deal will not have any mandatory option to buy and the player’s salary will be covered by the Serie A side.
Walker informed Pep Guardiola and his current employers a few weeks ago that he wishes to leave the club in order to have an experience abroad before the end of his playing career.
As Walker is still under contract with city until the summer of 2026, Milan still need to find a solution to sign him permanently.
There had been hopes that city would agree to terminate the defender’s contract in order to let him leave for free, but Sky suggest that Milan are currently seeking an agreement for a buy option to be included in the loan deal with the reigning Premier League champions.
Milan already have an agreement in principal with the 34-year-old for a contract until the end of the 2026-27 season.
